About this Brisbane Airport parking guide

This site explains how parking at BNE works, how the products differ, and which one suits a given trip. It is written and maintained independently, and it does not sell parking or hold spaces.

Compare parking options

Parking at an airport is usually a timing decision wearing a price tag. What matters is whether you can walk to your terminal or need a bus, whether your vehicle fits under a concrete ceiling, and how long your car will sit there while you are away. This page sets out who publishes the guide, where the information comes from, and — just as useful — what it deliberately leaves out.

What this site covers

We cover the parking products at Brisbane Airport and the decisions around them: terminal-side parking at the Domestic and International terminals, undercover and open-air options, valet, and the shuttle-served budget areas, AIRPARK and AIRPARK 2. Height limits, walk times, the complimentary transfer bus, and how booking and payment work all sit inside that scope, along with the travel-day practicalities that decide most trips in the end. What we leave alone is flight schedules, terminal facilities, and anything that is not about leaving a vehicle at BNE.

  • Products Terminal-side, undercover, open-air, valet and the shuttle-served budget car parks.
  • Constraints Height limits, shuttle timing, walk distances and the payment rules at the exit.
  • Outside scope Flights, terminal facilities, and anything unrelated to parking a vehicle at BNE.

How the information is researched

Everything here is built from the airport's own published parking information and guidance — its FAQ entries on height limits, payment and car park access, and its own comparison of the budget products. Where third-party travel guides cover the same ground, we note what they get right and where operational detail moves faster than a static guide can follow. We do not invent figures, prices or performance claims. If a number is not published by the airport, we say so instead of estimating it.

Keeping it current

Airport parking changes shape over time. Products get renamed, height limits are updated, and payment rules shift as new equipment goes in. We revisit pages when that kind of change shows up in official information and correct anything that has drifted since the last pass.

You will not find live prices on this site, because a rate quoted here and a rate charged at booking are two different things, and pretending otherwise would waste your time. If something looks out of date, the contact page takes corrections and we follow them up.

Height-limit beams and exit-lane equipment are the details that change most often, so they are the first things checked when a page is revisited.

What we do not do

Who this is for

The site is written for three kinds of traveller. Domestic flyers out of Brisbane on short business trips, who mostly need to know how P2 and the terminal-side car parks work. International travellers on longer trips, who are usually weighing terminal-side convenience against AIRPARK and the shuttle. And the people collecting or dropping off at BNE, who need short-stay and pickup rules rather than day rates. If you are in one of those groups, the terminal parking guide and the options comparison will answer most of what you need.

How to use the site

Start with your terminal, then your trip length. Those two answers narrow the field to one or two products, and the rest of the site covers the details from there.

  1. Terminal first Domestic and International sit apart at BNE, and the walkable car parks differ. The terminal parking guide breaks that down.
  2. Then trip length A weekend away and a three-week holiday point at different products. The options comparison and the long-term pages cover the rest.
  3. Payment mechanics If you want to know how paying and changing a booking works, the booking and payment page walks through it step by step.
  4. Morning of the flight The travel day tips page is the short version: what to have ready and how much buffer to allow. If something is missing, tell us.

Contact and corrections

This guide is maintained by a small editorial operation, and corrections are welcome. If a height limit, a shuttle detail or a payment rule on this site does not match what you find at the airport, let us know where the difference is. Practical, specific feedback is the most useful kind and gets acted on fastest.

What kind of correction is most useful?

One that names the page, the detail that looks wrong, and where you saw the current version — a car park sign, an airport FAQ entry, or the provider's own booking page. Screenshots are welcome but a plain description of the difference is enough.

Can you change or refund a booking I made?

No. This site does not take bookings, hold spaces or process payments, so anything about a reservation you have made — changes, extensions, refunds — has to go to the provider you booked with rather than to us.

Why does a page sometimes say a figure is not published?

Because a guess dressed up as a fact is worse than an honest gap. Where the airport has not published a number, the page says so and points you to the place that will have it — usually the provider's booking flow or a sign at the car park itself.
